Our Ladies won 1-0 at Wycombe Wanderers (Ali Johnson) but the Sunday Reserve v Kidmore End was off and will be 1-1 I think.

Two goals by Dave Hobbs gave the Reserves a 2-0 win home to Hungerford Town in their last game of the season but the Youth side lost 1-0 at Thame Utd but still have Aylesbury Vale away on Wednesday to win the league but this game is off.

Hard luck ladies - our team lost 2-1 in injury time to Oxford City at Kidlington in the County Ladies Cup Final on Sunday. The Sunday side lost 3-2 home to IBIS.

Reading Town willt be joining the Hellenic next season with Badshot Lea going to the Combined Counties.

The Youth side who could have won the league went down 2-0 at Burnham while rivals Maidenhead Utd won 4-3 at Flackwell Heath and the lead is down to only one point. Back at home the Ladies beat Aldershot 2-1 with goals from Patterson and Lloyd.

The 1st team won 1-0 at Penn & Tylers Green with Graham Pickersgill scoring in the 50th minute and 3 miles up the road the Youth drew 2-2 at Holmer Green on Wednesday 9th.

We went 3-0 down then pulled back to 3-3 (Donegan, Hobbs, Newham) but lost 7-3 home to Binfield Reserves on Tuesday 8th April

In the Youth Subsidary Cup Qtr-Final, Thatcham Town were defeated 6-2 (Warwick 2, Smith, Roughneen, Nowell, Jeffrey) on the Triangle Monday nightSubsidary Cup. We play at Reading Town in the semi-final on Monday 21st April.

Snow caused the postponement of our Sunday Reserves v Kidmore End and the Ladies v Aldershot.

Dave Hobbs scored his 101st Hellenic League goal with his third one at Badshot Lea in a 5-1 win with Isaac Smith and an own goal but Isaac was sent off near the end by a strange decision by Ref Lee Turnbull that baffled everyone. Meanwhile the 1st team lost 1-0 home to Finchampstead but rose a place in the table as Binfield had a point deducted.

Kidlington were defeated 4-1 (Mills, Hobbs, Donegan, o.g.) on the Triangle on Thursday 3rd April

The Youth side won 4-1 at Windsor & Eton (Warwick, Smith, Roughneen, Nowell) on Wednesday.

Ascot Utd scored first but Michael Davies lobbed the keeper from a Dave Givens through ball then following a desperate scramble big Dave Hobbs hit the winner for a 2-1 win. Brian Piggott was the ref and he was our keeper from 1973 to 1977 !

The Reserves scored first through Michael Davies but Shrivenham hit 3 to reach the semi-final of the Reserve Cup on Wed 26th.

Our Reserves got a 2-2 draw at Cheltenham Saracens on Easter Monday with goals from Michael Davies & Kieron Penglase but Brett Rann got a nasty injury.

1st team had no game on Sat 22nd March and Reserves home to Milton Utd was off. Also off at the Triangle the Sunday 1st v Whitley Tavern and the Ladies v Shanklin.

We beat Thame Utd 2-1 after Toomey put us ahead, they equalised and hit our crossbar 3 times before Mills got a late winner. The game was held up for 25 minutes when an ambulance was called for George Brewer who seemed to slip awkwardly in the second half and was carried off. He will have a scan on Monday 31st.

Just heard that Youth game at Aylesbury Vale on Wednesday is off. We have had a meeting with the Town Council about parking meters coming to the Mill Lane car park in the summer !

We lost 3-0 home to 3rd placed Holyport on Sat 15th March while the Reserves went to North Leigh where Steve Morris handled on the goal line in the 4th minute, got a red card, they put the penalty away and 1-0 was the final score.

Youth semi-final home to Kidlington off as even the Harpsden pitch kept on standby was too wet to play on. It will now be played on Sunday 30th March at the Triangle.

David Mills scored the only goal as we won 1-0 at Kintbury Rangers on Saturday 8th March with several youth players. In fact, injuries and lack of bodies meant that we could not field a reserve side at home to play Kidlington. This will incur a fine from the league and another date to play them.

Isaac Smith, Toby Newell and Adam Jeffrey scored the goals as we beat Maidenhead Utd Youth 3-0 at home on Wednesday 5th March to put us 3 points clear still with two games in hand.

The Reserves won 7-1 at Wootton Bassett Town on Tuesday 4th March with Michael Davies getting 4, Keiron Penglase 2 and Dave Newham.

Well done Alex Biggs and Michael Davies who both ran the Reading Half-Marathon in under two hours.

We beat bottom of the league Prestwood 4-1 with goals from Isaac Smith, Graham Pickersgill, David Mills (penalty) and a header from Dave Hobbs. The visitors wore an all orange strip which showed up well under the lights and both Hobbs and Casey Warwick hit the same post at the top end in the second half.

Coach Martin Ireland has left us looking for higher grade football but on good terms and we all wish him well.
